We are certainly looking for help in video editing and production of the videos. If you are knowledgeable and from the gaming industry we could use your input on various topics or could possibly interview you. We need folks willing to research topics that we’re going over in the Academy as well as contacting folks in the industry with questions or for interviews. Lastly, we could use folks to be the one asking the questions too! Lots of opportunities to gain experience and help a great cause! Aura Fury Academy is an educational series of interviews with folks in the gaming industry and videos that are all about teaching good sportsmanship, finding careers in gaming, overcoming barriers (such as those faced by the LGBTQ+ Community, minorities, women, veterans, and people with disabilities), educational opportunities and more.

Aura Fury runs another discord community called Community Connections to help build and teach communities owners and admins to be more inclusive in their communities, overcome technical issues that we run into running servers and events, and overall run better communities. • We provide a safe and inclusive space for individuals to game and socialize in. This has been of particular importance during the pandemic to provide for individuals’ needs to socialize and have fun while staying home. Even after the pandemic, for many the internet is the only outlet for individuals to meet this need and we aim to continue to provide this at zero cost to the user.
• We teach inclusiveness and sportsmanship to people from a variety of ages and backgrounds through gaming events. Through education we are building more inclusiveness in video games and attacking the toxicity that exists in the gaming industry as a whole.
• We provide a variety of ways for individuals to try new skills and gain experience in the gaming industry. Individuals can try out being a castor, learn how to run production on gaming events, learn and take part in event planning, management, programming, marketing, or play in tournaments. We are teaching others about possible educational paths you can seek out in college or possible careers in the gaming industry.
• We produce an educational podcast that teaches inclusiveness, sportsmanship, the gaming industry, the challenges the LGBTQ+ community faces, game development/modding, mental health, content creation, Esports, opportunities in education and more.
• We produce a series of educational documentary-quality videos called the Aura Fury Academy. These videos dive deeper into many of the subjects the podcast does and more. The videos are professional interviews of members of the gaming industry and community along with talking with individuals who have overcome or still are dealing with barriers in the gaming industry.
• We provide technical and general assistance to content creators at a variety of levels of skill whether they are seeking to stay casual or make it their career. We are building a list of resources that include educational videos and websites along with license-free resources for music and graphics to help content creators reach their goals.
• We plan to build a set of resources to teach others about the barriers and challenges being faced by women, minorities, the LGBTQ+ community, veterans, and those with disabilities in the gaming industry in general. Our hope is that through education we can build more acceptance in the gaming industry and break down the barriers that people face.
• We will be attending conventions to spread awareness of the barriers faced by women, minorities, the LGBTQ+ community, veterans, and those with disabilities. We will be pushing the ideas of inclusiveness and sportsmanship. We will build more awareness of Aura Fury and its educational goals. We hope to take part in or run panels that will further the goals of Aura Fury while building more acceptance in the gaming industry.
• We are seeking out other organizations that teach inclusiveness, sportsmanship and/or provide resources to women, minorities, the LGBTQ+ community, veterans, and those with disabilities in the gaming industry to partner with. We are also seeking organizations to run events with to provide more opportunities for individuals in Aura Fury to grow their skills in gaming, seek out careers, or have more opportunities to socialize and have fun.
• We are developing another community called Community Connections to help build and teach communities’ owners and admins to be more inclusive in their communities, overcome technical issues that we run into running servers and events, and overall run better communities. Joining Aura Fury servers is completely free, regardless of who you are. This is one of the benefits being provided for all from the charity.

Fill out a community application and be sure to select the game you want to be whitelisted on. If you have already filled out an app and have been accepted, simply put a request to be whitelisted in the #help-and-faq channel.

You can suggest it in #suggestions, but keep in mind the vast majority of the time we will not add mods that break game balance. We try to keep the number of mods down too since at any time a modder could stop developing their mod and we would not be able to update to newer versions of the game. Lastly the mod may not be added due to performance reasons. We are looking for mods that deepen the progression or add to the difficulty to the game.

We have 2 bare metal servers with the following stats: AMD Ryzen 7 3800X 8 Cores/16 Threads at max speed of 4.5 Ghz, 2x SSD NVMe 960GB Soft RAID, 500 mb internet line, 64 GB DDR4 2666MHz, and 500 GB of cloud storage backup space. We also rent container boxes with a set amount of RAM such as 8 GBs for vanilla Minecraft. We rent the premium container boxes from heavynode. We do our best to provide great hardware to keep lag low on our servers

We run Vintage Story, Minecraft, Medal of Honor Allied Assault, Valheim, and quite a few other servers that are trading out with other games. Some servers we rotate are Starbound, Eco, Ark, and Cryofall. Looking for Aura Fury to run a server put your suggestion in #suggestions.

Our bare metal servers are in Ontario, Canada (most of our game servers are on these). We have found this to be the best location to provide great connection to folks in and outside of North America. Our container boxes tend to change locations, but are often located in New York City, New York. If you want to know a specific server location just ask in #help-and-faq in our discord.

They are pinned in the channel where that game is talked about in Aura Fury. So the Vintage Story server address and mods are pinned in #vintage-story. Vanilla Minecraft is pinned in #vanilla-minecraft. Games that don’t have their own channel will be pinned in the game category it falls under. So the Medal of Honor server is pinned in #fps-games.

You're welcome to use Aura Fury logo in your monetized streams and recordings as long as you abide by community rules during those streams/recordings. No permission is needed for streams/recording. Please note that you will need to ask for permission to use the Aura Fury logo on your merchandise.

You do not need to notify people that you are recording in the Aura Fury discord or on our game servers. It is an everyday occurrence here. The biggest rules are making it clear the donations go to you and not Aura Fury along with not using the Aura Fury name in conjunction with pushing political policies, parties, candidates, or endorsing companies and products. Be sure to be respectful of other content creators, Aura Fury, and its members. So basic stuff. Yes you can as long as you follow the community rules. You may also use the Aura Fury logo, event graphics, and the server names in your videos/recordings.

Yes you can because you are not an employee of Aura Fury, but you must make it clear in your content that the donations go to you and not Aura Fury.

Yes! We run Aura’s Furious Watchathon twice per year, which is a multi-day event promoting our content creators. We also have some other ones in the works too such as charity streams. All events in Aura Fury are optional so you do not have to take part if you do not want to

Yes! Post your question down in #content-creation. We have an experienced admin dedicated to helping folks and our other content creators are happy to help as well. If you need help getting your average views up to make affiliate we can help with that too, if you are willing to schedule videos around when we have a bunch of folks available to help out

By being involved in Aura Fury events at least twice or posting videos/streams from Aura Fury game servers or with groups of Aura Fury players. Once you have done so, just shoot EconBrony a PM and he will get you listed!

If it is videos or live streams that are being done on Aura Fury servers or with groups of Aura Fury players then yes, it can be posted in the #youtube-and-streams-on-aura-fury channel. After you have done this twice, you will gain access to the #general-yt-and-streams channel where you can post all your videos. We made this rule to prevent our content creator channels from becoming an advertisement channel for people who are not involved in Aura Fury.

If you see people in a voice channel, feel free to join without asking. Just remember to stick to the theme of said voice channel.

You can submit help tickets in #help-ticket. Once the ticket is open be sure to click the link provided to take you down to the new ticket so you can provide us with details. The tickets are created in the category "open ticket". Its located underneath the off topic category towards the bottom of the discord.

Here in Aura Fury we do things a bit different. We don’t want anyone to feel like they are no one in our discord so we make everyone appear equal. If you ever need an admin just ask in #help-and-faq and we will be right with you.

Near the community announcements and rules channels up near the top is a channel called #notification-settings. In that channel there are buttons for almost all the notifications in Aura Fury. The buttons will add and take away those roles. If you have a role for a specific game you will receive notifications and pings for that game.

If you go to the Aura Fury discord at the top next to the work Aura Fury there is a little triangle that opens servers options.  In there you can click edit server profile. This will allow you to add pronouns and share information in your profile that you want members of Aura Fury to see.

To change what channels you see go to the top of the discord and click "channels and roles". The second tab "browse channels" will allow you to add and remove categories and specific channels.

Alternatively you could go to the server settings for Aura Fury and click "show all channels"

At the top of the Aura Fury discord there is a menu called "Channels and Roles". You can either hit the drop down menu and select the game you want to see and have access to the channels for or hit the tab "browse channels" and manually select the channels you want to see and have access to

Yes there is! You can right click on a specific channel or category and change the notification settings. You can make it where only @mentions get through or completely mute it. Doing this is a much better alternative to completely muting Aura Fury since you will miss so much information if you do that!

We run an Overwatch 2 Tournament and Exhibitions. We also run events for other games from time to time too. Be sure to check out our discord at discord.gg/aurafury for the most up to date info on events.

Yep! We are always looking for individuals interested so that we can have multiple teams. We need folks to be the casters who do all the talking, video editors, and folks willing to do the recording during games. We will train you on how to do any of these positions. At Aura Fury we’re all about providing opportunities to try new things out, maybe you will find yourself a new career! We are currently not supporting the building of Esports teams from scratch in Aura Fury and are focusing more on providing resources to those who do outside of our community. Should you want advice on starting a team, how to run the discord, rules for your organization, links to discords to recruit players, etc. We would be glad to give you that information. Simply post your questions in the FAQ and Help section of our discord or hit the contact us button on the website and we will be back to you as soon as possible.

We are always looking for volunteers to help out with events in and outside of Esports and casual tournaments! Let us know you are interested in the #help-and-faq channel and will get in contact with you. It’s a great way to gain experience!

We run a limited number of Esports team in Aura Fury and positions do not open frequently on these teams. Should you have interest in joining a team, watch for postings for openings in our discord. If you would like us to keep your information on file so we know you are interested and can reach out should an opening arise fill out our Esports application under the join us tab.

You can also sign up as a free agent using the Free Agent application under the Esports tab. Then we will connect you with teams in and outside of Aura Fury looking for members.

Under the Esports tab on the website there is a drop down menu and team registration. You can also register yourself as a free agent if you do not have a full team yet and are looking for more members.

Yes, we help start Esports teams and gaming clubs. We can help provide training, server space, seminars, and more. We can also help setup educational programs. If you are interested in finding out more, contact us here.

Yes! You can join Aura Fury and you will be expected to continue to run it. If you have a separate discord, you can continue to use that and will not be required to use the Aura Fury discord for meetings and such. If you want channels we can get those setup too. You will need to communicate team needs and events to the Aura Fury admins. Aura Fury can promote your team, help find players, possibly run tournaments, provide needed resources, Esports Casting of your games and more.

A group of individuals in Aura Fury are creating live streams and videos of Esports in events kind of like what you would see ESPN do. If you get a chance you should take a look! They are pretty awesome!

Yes to both! You can launch a fundraiser for Aura Fury on Facebook and Instagram. You can also donate directly through them. In both cases Meta covers all the transaction costs. During some points in the year they even do donation matching for us!

It varies from product to product, but we see between 18-23% of the sales comes to Aura Fury. The rest of it goes to spreadshirt. Spreadshirt gives one of the largest margins I have seen of custom merch stores

Yes and no. If it's your personal server at home, then no. If it is a server you are renting directly then no. The reason being is that we can’t 100% guarantee the servers will be provided over the year. It would be devastating to many of our gamers if a server world suddenly disappeared because the provider decided to leave Aura Fury for personal reasons and takes the server with them. So the only way we could accept it would be if you can offer at least a year long contract guaranteeing the servers to us and it must be located at a datacenter to ensure low lag and downtime for our gamers. Finally we must have full admin privileges on said server.

Yes and Yes! If your employer is on Benevity and allows donation matching we are there! You can even pick specific things in Aura Fury to support. We also do volunteer projects. If you would like to set one up, let us know here

We are glad you asked! Venmo is by far the lowest. Stripe and Paypal are a close 2nd. Everyone, but Patreon gives us discounts on processing fees so Patreon is by far the most expensive. That being said, we are happy to get donations through whatever is more convenient for you!
